Fireworks To Celebrate the 4th of July

About 220 million American citizens celebrate the United States Independence Day, in their family or community, spending a total of $6.8 billion on food, according to recent statistics. Studies conducted by the American Retail Federation show that most of the people who celebrate the Fourth of July - 65% - make a barbecue or have a picnic with relatives or friends. Every American spends an average of about $ 80 on food and drinks, on Independence Day.

Mayor's Annual Celebration is probably the most popular event in Fort Smith, offering the largest fireworks show in Arkansas River Valley. It is held downtown, at Harry E. Kelley Riverpark and offers live entertainment for all the participants, as well as family-friendly outdoor games.  There are free public transportation options to reach the events, as well as free parking. People are not allowed to bring alcohol gas containers or their own fireworks.
